The Cave Hyena from Prehistoric Park
The Cave Hyenas lived in caves of the Pleistocene. They fed mainly on carcasses of dead animals and hunted small mammals.
In the final episode of Walking With Beasts, Mammoth Journey, cave hyenas are mentioned and are later heard "laughing" at the sight of the Woolly Mammoth kill with Homo Neanderthalensis.
In the second episode of Prehistoric Park (A Mammoth Undertaking), a Cave Hyena was watching the mammoth Martha, but Nigel Marven was protecting it from any predator like the hyaena.
